Walking in the Will of God, One Step at a Time

“…God’ll supply all of our needs. Most people don’t believe that, they think they’ve got to supply them. No, God will supply all of our needs, that when we’re walking in the will of God, we’re going to have everything we need. And then, think about this, walking in the will of God, you only take one step at a time. When you get in your automobile at nighttime and you’re going to take a trip, you cut on the lights. And you can only go as far as those lights will shine. Watch this, the will of God’s not going to show you the whole picture of your life. He’s going to have all of us walking a step at a time, trusting Him, obeying Him and believing, watch this, believing that what I can’t see around the curve, God’s already seen and He’ll get me there at the right time. Very important to keep the timing of God’s will in our life.” Dr. Charles Stanley “The Rocky Road to the Will of God”.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God” Romans 12:2 (KJV).

Believe and Have Confidence in Him!

“These things I have written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may believe on the name of the Son of God. And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hears us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of Him” 1 John 5:13-15 (KJV).

Mountain Moving Faith

“For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven forgive your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses” Mark 11:23-26 (KJV).

Get Honest with Yourself. How Would Jesus Pray?

How would Jesus pray if He were you?

How would you pray if you were Jesus?

Get honest with yourself and then with God.

He already knows all your thoughts, attitudes, dreams and desires.

“O Lord, you have searched me and known me! You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down and are acquainted with all my ways. Even before the word is on my tongue, behold, O Lord, you know it altogether. You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me. Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is high; I cannot attain it.” Psalm 139:1-6 (ESV).

“Search me, O God, and know my heart! Try me and know my thoughts! And see if there be any grievous way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting!” Psalm 139:24-23 (ESV).

Trusting Your Prodigal Spouse Again?

“Blessed is the man who makes the Lord his trust, who does not turn to the proud, to those who go astray after a lie!” Psalm 40:4 (ESV).

“Once your prodigal has had their heart broken by the realization of what they have done, several things will start happening. None are instant, but they will happen. Foremost is the establishment of a forgiven relationship with the Lord.”

“Your returned prodigal will also come to respect the stand you had taken. If your walk matches your talk, and we pray that it does, time and time again, and without any help from you, your beloved will come face to face with the sacrifice you made for them.”

“As your spouse grows in the Lord, recovering from where they have been and what has happened, your trust will come back.”

“If you are a stander, I want to give you the prodigal’s perspective on trust. Regardless of what your prodigal is doing or saying, the one you love still wants to know they can trust you now, divorce or no divorce.”

“Standing and trusting are processes.”

“Do things His way and He will teach you how to trust again.”

Racism vs Love

Racial issues will not be solved merely or totally by laws and legislation, but by a change of the heart. Hatred must end. It is simply a matter of the heart.

Matthew 22:36-40 (ESV) “Teacher [Jesus], which is the great commandment in the Law? And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets'”.
