Letting Jesus take upon Himself our yoke is not about the yoke of an egg, but is about the yoke placed upon horses or oxen as they pull the massive weight of the load behind them or pull the plow as it digs furrows through the soil. It is also like the yoke of an airplane, as in the controls in the cockpit. Either example is about control, taking over and making our lives so much easier, it is about trusting Jesus as we turn our lives over to Him.
“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

The Sinner’s Prayer
Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior. Amen.
