Trusting Holy Spirit to Change Both Your Hearts & Minds

“The Lord will fight for you, and you have only to be silent.”

~~~Exodus 14:14 (ESV)~~~
“Yes, each of us who find ourselves in the midst of a family breakup, wonder what is next? Know this, that your Heavenly Father feels your pain. He knows your doubts. He knows what is going on in your spouse. Trust Him. He will never fail you. Just remember that His timing is different than yours. Don’t put any time restraints on your prayer requests. Our Heavenly Father is all powerful. Again I say, He understands your situation and that of your spouse. Only He, through the Holy Spirit, can change the heart and mind of your spouse. In like manner, during the time you and your spouse are apart (emotionally and physically), the Holy Spirit will work on your heart and mind doing a much needed tune-up.” Ben in Texas from Rejoice Marriage Ministries.
 “The Lord will fight for you, and you shall hold your peace and remain at rest.”
Joyfully Praising Our Glorious Father!
“Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all you lands! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come before His presence with singing! Know (perceive, recognize, and understand with approval) that the Lord is God! It is He Who has made us, not we ourselves [and we are His]! We are His people and the sheep of His pasture. Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and a thank offering and into His courts with praise! Be thankful and say so to Him, bless and affectionately praise His name! For the Lord is good; His mercy and loving-kindness are everlasting, His faithfulness and truth endure to all generations”.
“His Eye Is on the Sparrow”
“This God—his way is perfect; the word of the Lord proves true; he is a shield for all those who take refuge in him” Psalm 18:30 (ESV).
The much loved, but nearly forgotten hymns of old continue to come to mind. Being brought up in a Christian home where our family attended a very small country church, hymns were a staple and thankfully still form a reassuring melody in my heart during discouraging times as well as uplifting moments when I stand amazed at His glory. Hymns are poetically sung prayers of heartfelt desires, admiration and devotion being lifted up to our Heavenly Father by those who believe.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

His Eye Is on the Sparrow

1 Why should I feel discouraged,
Why should the shadows come,
Why should my heart be lonely,
And long for heav’n and home;
When Jesus is my portion?
My constant Friend is he;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know he watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know he watches me.

Refrain:
I sing because I’m happy,
I sing because I’m free;
For his eye is on the sparrow,
And I know he watches me.

2 “Let not your heart be troubled,”
His tender word I hear,
And resting on his goodness,
I lose my doubts and fears;
Though by the path he leadeth,
But one step I may see;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know he watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know he watches me. [Refrain]

3 Whenever I am tempted,
Whenever clouds arise;
When songs give place to sighing,
When hope within me dies,
I draw the closer to him,
From care he sets me free;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know he watches me;
His eye is on the sparrow,
And I know he watches me. [Refrain]
