His Calling, Yours & Mine

“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

As For Me & My House

Kirk Cameron “To be a Cameron is to be a Christian. And I know that there’s been times I’ve seen my wife stand up on the kitchen table, you know, in moments of conflict and say ‘as for me and my house we serve the Lord. Satan get behind me!'”

“And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the Lord, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”

Has the Gospel Transformed Your Inmost Being?

Michael Cusick “It doesn’t take much to realize that a person can appear morally obedient, spiritually mature, and emotionally whole, yet below the waterline remain self-centered and immature. It is below the waterline, however, in the place of our inmost being, where the gospel is meant to transform us”.

“The purpose in a man’s heart is like deep water, but a man of understanding will draw it out.”

Is Your Heart Thirsting for Jesus?

Do You Know Jesus or Do You Fear Death?

Billy Graham “But you know the fear of death is gone when a person,…when I found Christ as my Lord and my Savior, the fear of death was taken away. And now I’m just as certain that when I die that I’m going into another world that’s just as real as this one. That it’s helped me to face life here and now….Well I envision Heaven. And I’m not going there because I’ve preached to a lot of people. I’m not going there because I’ve read the Bible. I’m not going there because I’m good. I’m going there because of what Christ did for me on the cross. I’m saved by the grace of God. Now the word grace carries with it the idea that I don’t deserve it. I can’t buy my way, I can’t work my way. I’m a sinner”.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

Satan’s “Counterfeit System & Society” Meant to Eliminate God Out of Your Life

Bill Winston “Satan’s job is to contain you. And he’s built a counterfeit system and society. And what he’s trying to do is teach people to live without God. And what is happening without God is things are getting worse. Why? Because the whole earth is groaning, waiting, come on, for the manifestation of the sons of God. You and I are the only ones that can really fix this. So I’m saying for you now, why don’t you when you get in the Word of God, ask the Holy Spirit, say Holy Spirit show me what this really means. See, don’t go by your traditional thinking anymore. Just ask Him to show you and take you as far out there as He wants to take you. And get, start praising God about it. I came to speak some things. I’m speaking into the atmosphere. You don’t let this counterfeit society tell you who you are, what you can do and what you can have. The standards of the world don’t have anything to do with you, you from another place. You like superman. You gotta say some stuff and you gotta say it and not care what they think about it”.

~~~Luke 4:1-13 (KJV)~~~
“And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness, Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. And the devil said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, command this stone that it be made bread. And Jesus answered him, saying, It is written, That man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God. And the devil, taking him up into an high mountain, shewed unto him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. And the devil said unto him, All this power will I give thee, and the glory of them: for that is delivered unto me; and to I will I give it. If thou therefore wilt worship me, all shall be thine. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Get thee behind me, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.
And he brought him to Jerusalem, and set him on a pinnacle of the temple, and said unto him, If thou be the Son of God, cast thyself down from hence: For it is written, He shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee: And in their hands they shall bear thee up, lest at any time thou dash thy foot against a stone. And Jesus answering said unto him, It is said, Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God. And when the devil had ended all the temptation, he departed from him for a season.”
Gloriously Created in Christ Jesus!
~~~Ephesians 2:10~~~

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (ESV)

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them.” (KJV)

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (NIV)

“We have become his poetry, a re-created people that will fulfill the destiny he has given each of us, for we are joined to Jesus, the Anointed One. Even before we were born, God planned in advance our destiny and the good works we would do to fulfill!” (TPT)

“Now God has us where he wants us, with all the time in this world and the next to shower grace and kindness upon us in Christ Jesus. Saving is all his idea, and all his work. All we do is trust him enough to let him do it. It’s God’s gift from start to finish! We don’t play the major role. If we did, we’d probably go around bragging that we’d done the whole thing! No, we neither make nor save ourselves. God does both the making and saving. He creates each of us by Christ Jesus to join him in the work he does, the good work he has gotten ready for us to do, work we had better be doing.” (MSG)

Walking Out Our Two God-Given Purpose Commandments

There is never an age or a stage of our life that we are not to identify our God-given purpose and to fulfill it to the best of our ability. How? Always default to the two greatest commandments, and then ask God what it is we should be doing to fulfill both of these commandments in the proper order at that specific time.

“‘Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?’ And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.’”

What Do You Treasure Most?

“Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: But lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The light of the body is the eye: if therefore thine eye be single, thy whole body shall be full of light. But if thine eye be evil, thy whole body shall be full of darkness. If therefore the light that is in thee be darkness, how great is that darkness! No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”

Do Others See Jesus In You?

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.”
